Father of Eudora Moore who in 1934 wrote an extensive account
of everyday life at Indianola where she grew up. Robert B. Moore moved to
Indianola in 1849 from Victoria County. A trained mechanic and building
contractor he liked to collect oysters from Powderhorn
Lake for his family. Survived a "light form" of yellow fever in
1867 according to Eudora Moore. Drowned by the 1875 hurricane. |
