GARNER, DAVID HESS (1807-1864). David Hess Garner, soldier, sheriff, and Republic of Texas congressman, son of Bradley and Sarah Rachel (Harmon) Garner, Sr., was born in St. Landry or Rapides Parish, Louisiana, in 1807.
